BACKGROUND: Over the years, most years, late in the summer a Rotary Kiwanis Golf Tourney is held. It’s more of a fellowship outing than a golf tournament and the goal is to have fun. Serious golf attitudes should be left in the parking lot. Back in the day we used to hold a joint Rotary/Kiwanis meeting at Lingan over lunch and then golf and then prizes etc. In recent years we would meet at the course at the appointed time and golf, followed by prizes and fellowship. It would normally include members of the 2 Sydney Rotary Clubs and the Kiwanis Club and sometimes New Waterford Rotary club. Also the general idea is to mix on each team Rotarians and Kiwanians. Male, female, golfers and non-golfers are welcome and encouraged to come.
THE PLAN: Todd Higgins of the Sydney Rotary Club has taken the initiative and arranged the following: NEW DATE: Oct.3rd 2018 TIME: 1:30PM shotgun start LOCATION: Lingan Golf Club FORMAT: Best Ball teams of 4 followed by a meal at Flavor 19 COST: NON-LINGAN members: $65.00 + tax/person – meal, golf and cart included LINGAN members: Deduct $40.00 for green fee and cart and you can get cart for $15.00 taxes in. In his email Todd requested to his Club RSVP by Aug. 31st . If you can, please confirm by return email to me; if you can’t I’d appreciate at least an expression of interest (you think there’s a good chance you can participate) Please also indicate your golf handicap if you know it (or have one) Todd Higgins, MBA, CFA | Portfolio Manager | RBC Wealth Management | RBC Dominion Securities Inc | T. 902 567-8509 | F. 902 567-0576 |
