PUBLIC IMAGE COMMITTEE

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Committee role is to develop and carry out a plan to keep the public informed about our Club’s projects and activities. Demonstrating that our club meets real needs confirms value to our community.

Chair is encouraged to engage committee members by ensuring they are assigned tasks. Attention should be paid to having the appropriate number of members to successfully complete tasks.

Chair shall hold monthly meeting with committee members keeping them informed and up to date on club activities.

Chair (or substitute member) shall attend monthly meeting of Board of Directors reporting on committee activities, seeking their input and advice as and if required.

Chair shall assist nomination process by identifying a candidate for succession. Handover meeting with successor is recommended.

Chair and Committee will develop a PI plan including:

  • Prepare and submit annual budget if deemed necessary.

  • Ensure our online presence, including a visually appealing website, Facebook page and/or other social media sites.

 

  • Ensure coverage in local media multiple times per year.

 

  • Display Rotary signs and banners at any and all opportunities.

 

  • Ensure availability of customized materials (brochure, etc.) for handout if appropriate.
